Scarlet Fever is the 2007 Dodge 3500 Mega-Cab you see gracing the page below. It was purchased as a family truck but, also with plans in mind. One of the first things the truck received was a Garmon's Diesel Performance transmission. Full billet shafts, Suncoast TC with a ATS billet flex plate were installed along with a special " thee Jeff Garmon" valve body. Not long after the transmission was installed, a night at the track with too much fuel and not enough air put a nice size hole in a piston.
In looking around for a top quality shop that could build the bottom end the way it should be, Scheid Diesel in Indiana was hired to sprinkle a little magic powder on the truck. With a few tweaks and some Scheid magic, it was ready to run. A F1 Helix II cam was installed along with the crank being balanced and polished. To make sure everything stayed in place, A1 14mm head & main studs went in and the block was fire ringed just for good measure.

Other components all ready in place consisted of Hamilton HD push rods and springs, ARP rocker studs, dual PPE CP3's, AirDog II, MK-II filter from Glacier Diesel, Extrude Honed injectors, T&C Diesel's modded rail, Spearco IC,
In 2009 once the new head was installed, it was time to race. Unfortunately, the Silver Bullet turbo didn't agree. After several years of doing a outstanding job, it blew up. So, it was time to see what a set of twins could do for the truck. 2 - new Borg Warner turbos fitted with High Tech Turbo's stainless steel housings along with Maximized Performance Inc. plumbing were installed. High Tech Turbo's exhaust manifolds went in after a trip to be ceramic coated to help keep the air moving to a set of 6" Grand Rock stacks. One of the injection pumps were also sent out to Floor It Diesel to be worked over.

Other components that were installed not long after it's purchase. All exterior badging was removed for that smooth look. Since the view from on top is always better, a 6" Superlift was used to gain altitude, with triple SS Bilsteins up front...and dual Bilsteins in the rear. To achieve the proper stance, 20" Helo wheels were wrapped with 37" ProComp tires. Powder coated Thuren steering linkage and a Dodge Steering Stabilizer makes sure the truck goes where it’s pointed. The truck rear was wrapped with a FabFours bumper. On the front, a SRT-10 hood with a custom made insert to match the E&G classics grill. Line-X was sprayed into the bed to protect it's loads and 5% tint on all the windows keeps the gawkers from peeking inside.

Inside the truck, a custom installation was done into his center console with a TCI Outlaw shifter and a TQ lock switch into the dash. Isspro and Dipricol gauges help keep an eye on the engine, while an Escort 8500 keeps an eye out for the po po when the foot gets a bit heavy. The trucks electronics have some assistance with a Smarty programmer stacked with a TS Performance MP-8 module to help get the most out of the engine.

As of 5/25/10, there's no info on how this new build runs or what kind of HP it has. New numbers will be posted once I see how the new set up works out.
